The India against Pakistan U19 Asia Cup 2025 final is heating up, with India facing a daunting 348-run target. Pakistan's bowlers and fielders are making it a point to dismiss every Indian batsman and show their aggression with each Indian wicket.
Notably, Pakistan batted first in the match after India won the toss and sent them in. Sameer Minhas overpowered the Indian bowlers and scored a record-breaking 172 runs, with 17 fours and 9 sixes, while Ahmed Hussain assisted well with 56 as Pakistan made 347/8 in 50 overs.
In response, Ayush Mhatre was dismissed for 2 runs, while Vaibhav Sooryavanshi hammered 26 runs in 10 balls with 3 sixes and one four before Ali Raza dismissed him, caught behind. Before his dismissal, the left-handed opener was off to a fiery start, scoring 20 runs off the first over from Ali Raza’s bowling.
However, Raza had the last laugh when he had Sooryavanshi caught behind for 26 runs and celebrated with over-the-top gestures towards the Indian batter.
Unhappy with his dismissal and seeing Raza and the Pakistan team’s celebrations, Sooryavanshi gave it right back to them. He made some unsavoury gestures towards the Pakistani players on his way back.
