Virat Kohli has confirmed his availability for this month's Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025, putting an end to months of rumors. Kohli notified the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) president, Rohan Jaitley, on Tuesday evening that he would be ready for three one-day matches.
Kohli’s presence in domestic cricket has been a significant talking point since he departed from Tests and T20Is. Rohit Sharma, too, is said to have agreed to play for Mumbai.
Delhi will not only have the services of Virat Kohli, but keeper-batter Rishabh Pant has also confirmed his availability.
“Virat has made himself available for three matches. Pant has said he is almost certain to play the entire tournament. He will work according to the workload management of the Indian team,” Jaitley told Times of India.
The Vijay Hazare Trophy is set to start on December 24. India will get a three-week break after the five-match T20I series ends on December 19. The three-match ODI series against New Zealand at home starts on January 11.
