Chennai Super Kings, who returned to Indian Premier League after serving two years suspension, clinched their third IPL title after defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
Chennai Super Kings began their IPL 2018 campaign with a last over win against the defending champions Mumbai Indians in the opening game and kept their winning momentum throughout the season and finished the league stage at the second position with 9 wins from 14 matches.
In the Qualifier 1 and Finals Chennai Super Kings defeated table-toppers Sunrisers Hyderabad and clinched their first IPL title since 2011 and overall third IPL title.
