Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan has impressed one and all with his magical bowling in the ongoing Indian Premier League. He has scalped 21 wickets in 16 matches at a phenomenal average and economy-rate of 20.66 and 6.78 respectively in IPL 2018.
On Friday (May 25), Rashid put on yet another bowling exhibition to secure Hyderabad’s spot in the final of IPL 2018. The 19-year-old leggie claimed 3 for 19 in his 4 overs against the Kolkata Knight Riders in the second qualifier to help SRH register a comprehensive 14-run victory.
Seeing Rashid’s remarkable bowling prowess last night, cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar couldn’t stop himself from praising the youngster. The batting maestro termed the Afghan lad as the best spinner in the world in Twenty20 format.
“Always felt @rashidkhan_19 was a good spinner but now I wouldn’t hesitate in saying he is the best spinner in the world in this format. Mind you, he’s got some batting skills as well. Great guy,” Tendulkar wrote on his official Twitter page.
Elated with the batting legend’s praise, Rashid, on Saturday (May 26), took to Twitter and thanked Sachin for his kind words.
“Thanks a trillion Sachin sir, your words give me great persuations ????????????????????” Rashid Khan replied.
