Michael Hussey, the batting coach of the Chennai Super Kings, has come out and stated that he is happy with the Mahendra Singh Dhoni has played this season but feels there are certain crucial areas his team needs to get better at.

Death Bowling, Hussey points out is one such concern of his team. He was recently quoted saying that, “Death bowling is one area where we are really trying to work hard on. We haven’t perfected it yet but that’s exciting as there is still room for improvement in our team. We have had to chop and change the team to see who can bowl at the death. It has been a work in progress. But we are getting a clear idea about what sort of combination will be the best for us.”

CSK are currently amongst the top two of the Indian Premier League points table for the season with 8 wins from 12 games and has already qualified for the playoffs but despite that Hussey isn't fully happy as he seeks perfection.

He also said, “As a coach, you are never fully happy (laughs). Fielding is obviously another aspect. Since we have an older and a more experienced team we might have slower players on the field. So we need to make sure we are doing the right things by just being workmanlike.”

“We are never going to be the most dynamic fielding team and that’s an area we have been trying to be smart with,”

Hussey now also voiced that age is no barrier to success in T20 cricket as long as the fitness is top-notch. Much like CSK's. He said, “A lot has been made about the age but personally speaking, I think it is an advantage. Experience plays a big role in T20 cricket. Several of our players have been in pressure situations before and know how to handle it. So it is a big positive,”

“A lot is at stake in this match for(their next match) us because if we can win this game then it pretty much guarantees a top-two finish. So that is what the team is aiming for. The players are motivated to secure a victory,”
