Virat Kohli was in sublime touch against Delhi Daredevils (DD) at Feroz Shah Kotla on Saturday. When Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) lost 2 wickets off just 18 runs inside 3 overs, Kohli had a job in hand to guide his team to a much-needed victory.
Eventually, RCB beat DD by 5 wickets, but it was only possible because of Virat and AB de Villiers' innings. Virat scored 70 runs off 40 balls which included 7 fours and 3 sixes.
De Villiers finished the game for Bangalore, scoring 72* off 37 balls. He was the hope for RCB when wickets were falling at the other end. He and Virat put up a partnership of 118 and the skipper was back to the hut in 14th over.
An interesting incident happened during Bangalore's chase. Virat showed his merry side during his innings.
At the start of the 7th over of the RCB innings, when Kohli was batting on 40 and looking to focus, Rishabh Pant from behind was clapping and backing the debutant Sandeep Lamichhane.
It seems like Virat wasn't impressed with it. He gave Pant a death stare, but it ended in a good fun as they both laughed it off when Kohli decided to stop taking the stance and have a chat with him.
