Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan, who is currently busy in plying his trade for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018, has made the day of his diehard fan by meeting him and his family on Sunday.

Indian cricketers enjoy a massive fan following in the cricket crazy nation, but only a few get recognition for their unalterable support to their most favorite player –likes of Sudhir Gautam, who was always seen cheering Sachin Tendulkar whenever he played.

Dhawan has also found such a diehard fan –Shankar, who traveled all the way with his family from Bengaluru to Hyderabad just to meet him. His effort certainly moved Dhawan who was happy to see him in Hyderabad.

The 32-year-old and his family clicked pictures with Shankar and family and also shared it on his official Twitter handle, and called him his ‘biggest’ fan.

His post reads, “It was wonderful meeting Shankar, "my biggest fan" and his family. They came all the way from Bangalore to meet me. I feel truly humbled when my fans go to such lengths. Thank you, Shankar and all my fans for your love and support. Love you all  #myfans #mybiggestsupport.”

Meanwhile, the left-hander has had a decent outing in the ongoing 11th edition of the IPL 2018 so far, amassing 185 runs at an average of 30.83 in 8 matches that he played so far.

At the moment, Kane Williamson led SRH are leading the IPL 2018 points table with 7 wins out of their 9 matches that they have played so far in the tournament.
