Mitchell McClenaghan, the left arm fast bowler for Mumbai Indians, has reiterated that it was getting the wicket of Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the 18th over that proved to be a decisive factor in his side's crucial win over the Chennai Super Kings.

CSK were going really well and looked good to get around 190 with MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina in. This is when McClenaghan somehow got MS Dhoni caught in the deep trying to go for a slash squarer on the off side to the full-toss. MS timed it way too well for his liking.

This crucial moment ensured Mumbai were chasing 170 for the win. Which on the back of Rohit Sharma's man of the match effort, they did chase down.

Talking about it, Mitchell McClenaghan was quoted saying, “I think Dhoni if he gets going towards the end, we all know how destructive he can be, so it was a key wicket. Obviously, I was lucky with the full toss, it was not perfectly executed but the idea was to take the angle away from him, try and get him to target that short boundary. So it was crucial in that period of the game.”

Talking about this win and rest of the tournament for Mumbai, where they'll have to keep winning.

He said, “We lost a couple of games in the last few overs and we have all been guilty of not executing our plans. It is about having a positive mentality and play fearlessly and the encouragement has to come from the whole group. We got together and have got behind each other. It doesn't matter if you make mistake, we just focus on the plans we put together and I think we did that well here.”
