Australian fast bowler James Faulkner on Wednesday (18 April) labelled Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) bowling attack as the strongest in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018.

The Orange Army’s bowling attack led by Bhuvneshwar Kumar has World class leg-spinner Rashid Khan along with Billy Stanlake, Basil Thampi, Mehdi Hasan, Siddarth Kaul and Deepak Hooda in their ranks, which makes them one of the strongest sides in the biggest T20 event in India.

As per reports in Press Trust of India, Faulkner told reporters, “I think the strongest one (in term of bowling attack) has to be Sunrisers (Hyderabad). Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been in great form for a couple of IPLs, (so) that will be my number one.”

While referring young Afghanistan spin sensation Rashid, the 27-year-old Australian said, “And the wrist spinner, who is the best in the World in T20s?”

Meanwhile, Faulkner rated Mumbai Indian's (MI) bowling attack as the "second best" in the tournament, saying “Mumbai have got two good death bowlers (Jasprit Bumrah and Mustifizur Rahman), they are probably the two (best).”

The pacer also comes out in support of under-fire MI’s Bumrah, saying ‘it is very unfair to say he is out of form’ in the ongoing IPL 2018, and urged media and people to understand 'he is bowling the hardest overs'.

Faulkner signed off by saying, “It is very unfair to say he (Bumrah) is out of form. When you start your career, people tend to look at you a bit more. He bowls the hardest overs, he bowls the death overs, in the Indian team as well. Any day where he goes under 40 runs, he has a good day. The media has been harsh on him, they (have) to understand he is bowling the hardest overs.”
