Chennai Super Kings (CSK) surprised everyone when they started going after veteran players in the IPL 2018 auction. They picked up well-experienced cricketers who are in their 30s, instead of young players.

CSK management picked South African leg spinner Imran Tahir for the upcoming season. They have said the 38-year-old is as effective as young Chahal, who is currently dominating the cricketing world with his leg-spin. Tahir picked up 18 wickets from 12 games in IPL 2017.

Chepauk track generally assists spinners and Tahir can be used as an attacking option. The spinner is happy to play for CSK and expressed his happiness on Twitter. But, while doing so he goofed up.

"Very privileged to be a part of @ChennaiIPL and looking forward to play infront of the knowledgable chennai crowd thanks for picking me in your esteemed franchisee @SriniMama16 #edudra vandiya poduda whistle," wrote Imran Tahir.

However, the leg-spinner mistakenly tagged the parody Twitter account of N Srinivasan.

Chennai fans are excited to watch Tahir playing for CSK. South African spinner will play alongside with veteran cricketers like MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Harbhajan Singh and Shane Watson.
