The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) won the IPL 2025 title, defeating Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the final in Ahmedabad on June 3 by 6 runs. This ended RCB’s wait of 18 years for the first IPL title, after a long wait, and not only the players, but the fans went into a celebratory mood as soon as the match finished.
RCB had earlier announced a victory parade in Bengaluru after their IPL 2025 title win. The celebratory event was scheduled to begin at 3:30 PM IST on June 4, starting from Vidhana Soudha and concluding at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
However, now, reports have stated that the open bus parade has been canceled due to resistance from Bengaluru Police and heavy traffic congestion in the city.
As per India Today and NDTV reports, revised schedule sees from 5 to 6 p.m., the RCB team will be honored at Bengaluru's M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. At Vidhana Soudha, the players will meet Siddaramaiah, the CM of Karnataka, and go straight to the site.
Only those with valid passes will be allowed entry to the venue. Because there isn't much parking near the stadium, attendees are encouraged to take the Metro and other public transportation.
Here are the revised plans for RCB's felicitation ceremony:
-There will be a felicitation function for the RCB team at the Chinnaswamy Stadium from 5 pm IST to 6 pm IST.
-Entry is restricted to ticket/pass holders only.
- There will be no victory parade.
- Due to limited parking, the public is advised to use the Metro and other public transport.
- The public is advised to avoid the CBD area from 3 pm IST to 8 pm IST.
When RCB halted their three-match losing streak in the IPL finals on Tuesday, it was a remarkable day. The IPL got a new champion thanks to Krunal Pandya's valiant 4-0-17-2 performance at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium.
Virat Kohli, who has been with the RCB since 2008, also had the taste of his first IPL trophy. With 657 runs from 15 games, Kohli also finished as the third-highest run scorer in the 2025 Indian Premier League.
