Ahead of their highly anticipated IPL 2025 final matchup with the Punjab Kings, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru camp was in a good mood.
The squad was seen celebrating the birthdays of their mentor Dinesh Karthik and captain Rajat Patidar in a sweet video that the franchise shared on social media as part of their Bold Diaries feature. The celebration then escalated into a full-blown cake smash fest.
With the customary sweetness, candles, applause, and cheers, the video opened with the title "An absolute smash fest." Then, as participants joyfully smeared cake across each other's faces, it descended into anarchy.
Players were laughing and scurrying to avoid the next ambush as the fun turned into a cake crime scene.
The highlight, though, was provided by batsman-wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma. Liam Livingstone, an all-rounder for England, joked that he should put cake on Virat Kohli's face as the fun went on.
Jitesh responded by smiling nervously, joining both hands, and jokingly pleading for forgiveness. This move put the entire dressing room in stitches, and social media admirers were utterly delighted.

Skipper Rajat Patidar, who guided RCB to a dominant win in Qualifier 1 against PBKS, stated that they are determined to bring home the trophy, not just for the team, but also for the fans and Virat Kohli.
“Virat has contributed so much over the years — winning would mean a lot, especially for him,” Patidar said in his pre-final press conference.
The IPL 2025 final will be RCB’s fourth appearance in an IPL final, and they’ll be eager to finally get over the line after finishing runners-up in 2009, 2011, and 2016.
