With an incredible six-wicket victory over the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Tuesday, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) successfully chased down a target of 228 runs and guaranteed a ticket in the IPL 2025 Qualifier 1.
Pant's outstanding performance earlier, which included an unbeaten 118 runs from 61 deliveries and a crucial 152-run second-wicket partnership with Mitchell Marsh (67 runs off 39 balls), helped LSG achieve 227/3 in 20 overs.
Jitesh Sharma’s unbeaten 107-run partnership with Mayank Agarwal, who hit 41 not out from 23 deliveries, helped the team win with eight balls remaining. The chase was initially set up by Virat Kohli's quick 54 runs off 30 balls, but Sharma and Agarwal grabbed control of the innings. Jitesh remained unbeaten on 85* with 8 fours and 6 sixes.
As RCB celebrated the win, Virat Kohli was seen blowing kisses to his wife Anushka Sharma, who was present in the Ekana Stadium. Anushka was seen on camera smiling and returned the kisses with her own.
