The 60th match of the IPL 2025 saw Delhi Capitals (DC) and Gujarat Titans (GT) clash in Delhi on May 18, 2025. GT captain Shubman Gill won the toss and chose to bowl first.
KL Rahul led the way for Delhi Capitals (DC) with a sublime 112* in 65 balls with 14 fours and 4 sixes. This was his 5th century in IPL and became the first batter to score centuries for three different teams in the league. Abishek Porel (30) and Axar Patel (25) helped DC post 199/3 in 20 overs, with Tristan Stubbs smacking 21* in 10 balls.
In reply, GT made a cakewalk of the total as Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill hammered the DC bowlers to all parts of the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Sudarsan made his second century in IPL, scoring 108* with 12 fours and 4 sixes, while Gill made 93* with 3 fours and 7 sixes.
GT made 205/0 in 19 overs and won the game by 10 wickets. Thanks to this win, GT also became the first team to qualify for the IPL 2025 playoffs. They now have 18 points from 9 wins in 12 games. Thanks to GT's win, Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have also qualified for the playoffs.
DC, on the other hand, remains in 5th spot with 13 points from 12 games, but stays in contention for the playoffs.
