Because of the growing tensions between India and Pakistan, the Indian Premier League (IPL) was postponed indefinitely on Friday. To prevent possible Pakistani strikes, airports in Dharamsala, Kangra, and Chandigarh were closed as a precaution.
Under strict security, players and personnel from DC and PBKS were escorted in groups from Dharamsala to Jalandhar railway station via Hoshiarpur. Later that evening, they rode a special Vande Bharat Express train to New Delhi.
In her post, Zinta also acknowledged the efforts of Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, ICC chairman Jay Shah, IPL chairman Arun Dhumal, and Punjab Kings CEO Satish Menon for their timely helps and assistance.
