RCB stalwart Virat Kohli took CSK pacer Khaleel Ahmed to the cleaners in Match 52 of the IPL 2025 season at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday (May 3).

Kohli smashed the left-arm quick for back-to-back sixes in the third over of RCB’s innings. It seemed like a pointed response after what happened between the duo earlier in the season.

During RCB’s match against CSK at Chepauk on March 28, Kohli had confronted Khaleel before having an animated post-match argument with him.

As the star batter came up against Khaleel at RCB’s home ground, he made a statement immediately. He dispatched Khaleel’s first ball to him – a short delivery – over fine-leg for a six and followed it up with a nonchalant flick over deep square leg.

Coming to the match, Virat Kohli set the tone for RCB’s mammoth total after being asked to bat first by CSK. He added 97 runs for the opening wicket with Jacob Bethell (55 off 33).

Kohli was dismissed in the 12th over by Sam Curran for 62 off 33 deliveries. His whirlwind knock was studded with five boundaries and as many sixes.
