Virat Kohli of RCB made fun of the ‘this is my ground’ celebration that KL Rahul had done when DC had defeated RCB in Bengaluru and Rahul had starred with 93* on April 10 in the ongoing IPL 2025. Kohli’s mocking came when RCB defeated DC in Delhi in reverse match on April 27, 2025.

RCB won the toss and chose to chase on a sluggish pitch. Abishek Porel (28) and Faf du Plessis (22) didn’t give the start DC was hoping for. Only KL Rahul (41) and Tristan Stubbs (34) helped DC reach 162/8 in 20 overs.

Jacob Bethell, playing his first game for RCB in IPL 2025, scored good looking 12 runs, but he, Devdutt Padikkal (0) and Rajat Patidar (6) got out in succession to put RCB on back foot at 26/3 in 4 overs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar starred with 3 wickets, while Josh Hazlewood took 2 scalps.

Then Krunal Pandya joined Virat Kohli added 126 runs for the 4th wicket. Kohli got out for 51 with 4 fours, but Krunal scored 73* in 47 balls with 5 fours and 4 sixes to take RCB home. Tim David hit 19* in 5 balls to win RCB the match by 6 wickets.

Many had expected Virat Kohli to emulate KL Rahul’s ‘this is my ground’ celebration that the keeper-batter had done when he had made 93* to help DC win in Bengaluru. Rahul had thumped his chest, saying “this is my ground”, before circling the ground and plotting his bat in the middle.

Unfortunately, Virat Kohli got out before he could take RCB to the finish line and once Krunal Pandya and Tim David finished the job and the players from the both sides mingled up, the veteran cricketer was up to his antics.

When KL Rahul was meeting his fellow Bengaluru boys Karun Nair and Devdutt Padikkal, Kohli was seen making fun of KL Rahul, while mocking his ground and bat celebration and then laughing loudly while hugging Rahul.
