MS Dhoni is known for being naturally gifted in many things. Be it his wicket-keeping, his physical stamina and strength, he has for hitting huge sixes off pace bowlers. However, there are still rumors persisting about various aspects of his cricket and personal life.
There had been a misconception that Dhoni likes to drink milk. During the early stages of his international career, various media outlets stated that the player consumed four to five liters of milk every day.
And now MS Dhoni himself dispelled the rumor about his milk-drinking prowess. The Chennai Super Kings captain was questioned at a promotional event about the strangest myth he has heard, and the World Cup-winning former captain did not hesitate to mention the infamous milk anecdote.
"I drink five liters of milk a day," Dhoni said with a smile, responding to a question about the ridiculous rumor at the event.
Even the anchor was startled to find that it was a rumor, till Dhoni confirmed that the typical individual cannot take five liters of milk every day.
"I used to drink, maybe, a liter of milk spread throughout the day. But four liters - it's a bit too much for anyone," he added.
Dhoni also laughed off another rumor - that the CSK star used to make lassi in a washing machine.
Dhoni, 43, has maintained his fitness to play two months of high-intensity cricket in the IPL. The former captain withdrew from international cricket in 2020, but has continued to play in the IPL.
Dhoni has handled his knee injuries better than in previous seasons. He has appeared as nimble as ever behind the stumps, executing amazing stumpings with ease. Dhoni has scored 134 runs in eight matches, with a strike rate of more than 150.
