The Rajasthan Royals (RR) have shared their stance on the match-fixing allegations levied by the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) ad-hoc committee convener Jaydeep Bihani. Bihani stated that RR losing their recent IPL 2025 match to LSG was suspect and should be investigated.
Bihani suggested that the outcome might be doubtful, even hinting at possible meddling. In response, the IPL franchise management filed a formal complaint with the Chief Minister, Sports Minister, and Sports Secretary, demanding stern action against Bihani.
Bihani had published a statement casting doubt not just on the team's performance, but also accusing the Rajasthan Royals, Rajasthan Sports Council, and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) of conspiring to exclude the RCA's ad hoc committee from IPL-related events.
The RR administration has aggressively opposed to these assertions, with Deep Roy, a senior member of the team, unequivocally dismissing Bihani's statements as "false, baseless, and lacking any evidence."
"We reject all allegations made by the convener of the ad hoc committee. Such public statements are not only misleading but have caused serious damage to the reputation and credibility of Rajasthan Royals, Royal Multi Sport Private Limited (RMPL), the Rajasthan Sports Council, and the BCCI. They also tarnish the integrity of cricket,” RR’s Deep Roy was quoted by IANS.
The franchise highlighted its 18-year collaboration with the state association and government, as well as its continued work in strict accordance with BCCI norms. According to the BCCI's present arrangements, the Rajasthan Sports Council has the official rights to host IPL matches in Jaipur during the current season.
The Royals underlined that they are coordinating with both the Council and the BCCI, as directed by the state government, to ensure the tournament's success.
Earlier, Bihani stated that RCA has successfully held ICC-BCCI international matches and competitions in the state.
“But the Sports Council is conspiring against sports interests by keeping the ad hoc committee formed by the government away from the IPL match being held in Jaipur. The State Sports Council kept the RCA ad hoc committee away from organising the IPL. They did not even make accreditation cards for the members related to the event,” he alleged.
