Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the youngest player ever sold in IPL auction in IPL 2025 mega auction, made his debut in the Indian Premier League for Rajasthan Royals (RR), in their ongoing match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 19, 2025.
The left-hander was picked in the RR team as an impact sub option in place of injured captain Sanju Samson. He became the youngest player to make his debut in IPL at the age of 14 years and 23 days.
He made immediate impact after opening the innings with Yashasvi Jaiswal. He faced his first ball from Shardul Thakur and smacked it for a huge six over covers.
Thakur bowled a full delivery which pitched in the slot for Suryavanshi and he smashed it plenty of rows back into the crowd at the Sawai Man Singh stadium in Jaipur.
