The ongoing IPL 2025 match between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Narendra Modi Stadium produced a fiery moment, involving Ishant Sharma and Ashutosh Sharma.

The veteran GT pacer engaged in a heated altercation with DC’s explosive finisher. The incident occurred on the final delivery of the penultimate over of Delhi’s innings.

Ishant bowled a sharp bouncer that rose awkwardly past Ashutosh. As Jos Buttler gathered the ball, the hosts appealed for the caught behind. They were convinced that it had touched the bat or glove on the way through to the wicketkeeper. However, the on-field umpire remained unmoved and signalled that it had only hit the batter’s shoulder.

Ashutosh quickly turned to point at his shoulder, even rolling up his sleeve to indicate the point of impact. It was at this moment Ishan lost his cool and was seen arguing with the Delhi batter in an animated fashion.

The video of their verbal exchange went viral on social media, and added a spark to an already intense match.

Ashutosh contributed 37 off just 19 balls in Delhi Capitals’ huge total of 203/8 in 20 overs. Ishant too had a good outing, returning with figures of 1/19 in his three overs.
