Abhishek Sharma has a particular bond with Suryakumar Yadav. After smacking 141 off just 55 balls in an IPL 2025 encounter against Punjab Kings, the SunRisers Hyderabad player lauded Suryakumar Yadav's contribution to his growth. Yadav is also the captain of India's Twenty20 International team.

Suryakumar Yadav and Abhishek Sharma had an intriguing conversation. During the Mumbai Indians' match against SRH, SKY was spotted examining Abhishek Sharma's pockets.

Abhishek brought out a piece of paper to thank the SRH fans during the match in which he scored a ton. Suryakumar may have been looking for it.

After Abhishek got off to a good start against MI, scoring 36 runs off 26 balls, including six fours, skipper Hardik Pandya opted to join the attack. Surya approached Abhishek while marking his run-up and inquired if the SRH opener was carrying a similar chit that made a lot of commotion following his record-breaking century against the Punjab Kings.

Surya checked Abhishek's pockets, which were empty. The footage of the incident was widely shared across social media sites.

During the same over, Pandya dismissed Sharma. Clearly, the 'pocket check' did not go well for Abhishek.

Aside from Abhishek (40 off 28 balls) and Heinrich Klaasen (37 off 28 balls), the remaining SRH hitters failed to contribute significantly, scoring only 162/5 in 20 overs. MI chased down the goal in 18.1 overs. Surya scored 26 from 15 balls.
