Chennai Super King (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni interacted with the IPL’s latest tech addition, a robotic dog, during the preparation for the toss in the match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
While warming up at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, Dhoni was in the mood to have some fun as he took interest in the robotic camera dog. The 43-year-old was visibly charmed by the cool gadget and made sure to inspect it closely.
Resembling a GoPro on wheels, the robotic dog is expected to capture behind-the-scenes footage during training sessions, pre-match routines, and post-match interactions.
Earlier in Delhi, it was spotted engaging with MI skipper Hardik Pandya and commentator Danny Morrison, even offering high-fives to those who greeted it.
MS Dhoni is widely regarded as one of the greatest captains in the history of cricket. Under his leadership, CSK have won five IPL titles and two Champions League titles.
Dhoni, 43, once again returned to CSK’s leadership role last week after elbow injury ruled regular skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad out of the remaining IPL 2025 season. However, the veteran wicketkeeper failed to change Chennai’s fortunes as the five-time champions lost to KKR at Chepauk.
The five-time champions are currently languishing at the bottom of the 10-team points table, and onus is on Dhoni to turn things quickly for the franchise.
