Former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) batter Ambati Rayudu has become a hot topic on social media during his commentary stint in the ongoing IPL 2025. Rayudu is noted for his fiery commentary style.
His support for the Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians is widely known, and he has previously openly criticised Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
Just a day after his intense fight with former India cricketer Sanjay Bangar, Rayudu argued with Navjot Singh Sidhu on live television.
The incident occurred during Tuesday's Indian Premier League (IPL) match between the Punjab Kings (PBKS) and the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). It all started when Rayudu accused Sidhu of changing his team by calling him a 'girgit' (chameleon), but he received a harsh response.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, Sidhu responded to Rayudu's accusation of changing teams by saying: "Is sansar me girgit ki tarah koi hai to tumhare aradhyadev hai (if there's someone in this world who is like chameleon, it is your idol)".

Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) lost their 4th game out of five they have played. In the high-scoring game, PBKS held their composure and successfully protected a 219-run scoreline. Opener Priyansh Arya batted brilliantly and scored his first IPL century (103). Shashank Singh also recorded an undefeated fifty.
CSK fought against PBKS despite a massive total but fell 18 runs short. Devon Conway, who could not make the CSK playing XI in the first three matches, demonstrated tenacity by scoring 69 runs off 27 balls.
Shivam Dube, who entered the contest as an Impact Player (IP), also scored 42 runs off 27 balls. MS Dhoni, who was under fire for his poor performance with the bat, smashed 27 off 12.
