Rajasthan Royals (RR) skipper Sanju Samson feels his side have found their ideal combination after a slow start to the season.

The Royals began their campaign with two losses in the IPL 2025 against SRH and KKR. They registered their first win against CSK, and followed it with a thumping 50-run victory over PBKS in Mullanpur on Saturday (April 5).

After the game, Samson said that they took time to understand their combination and now everything will take care of itself.

"Yeah absolutely. We just took sometime to understand our combination. Now we have found our pattern and everything else will take care of itself. Everyone needs to take care of their body," said Samson at the post-match presentation.

Asked to bat first, RR posted 205/4 on the board, courtesy of Yashasvi Jaiswal's 45-ball 67 and Riyan Parag's 43* off 25 balls.

In reply, PBKS faltered under pressure, managing only 155/9 in 20 overs as their homecoming turned sour.

Samson was pleased with the performance of his batters as he felt that PBKS would struggle chasing the target of 200+ runs.

"I think the way we started in the powerplay with the bat, we were a few runs short but the way everyone should batsmanship was brilliant. I knew that they will struggle as well in the 2nd Innings. 205 was a good total."

"Well, I have said that before as well. We have a very deep batting line-up, they are young in age but have a lot of potential. They have played a lot of games for their country. I think we managed the game pretty well," said Samson.

With the ball, Jofra Archer and Sandeep Sharma rattled the PBKS lineup. Archer removed Priyansh Arya and Shreyas Iyer in the first over and returned with the figures of 3/25 in his four overs. Sandeep claimed 2 wickets for 21 runs in his full quota of overs to script his team’s victory.

Samson praised the duo as a deadly combo and said that the team management is happy with their performances.

"Absolutely, that's a deadly combo. One guy is bowling at 140 while the other at 105. We are very happy with the way both of them are working. I can trust them a bit more in pressure overs. Jofra doing Jofra things. We love it when he bowls fast. And Sandy, he is one of the best guys in the death in India. Just superb," said Samson.

Rajasthan Royals will next travel to Ahmedabad to face Gujarat Titans on April 9.
