The ongoing CSK versus RCB clash in the IPL 2025 at Chepauk produced engrossing battle between Matheesha Pathirana and Virat Kohli.

On the first delivery of the 11th over in RCB’s innings, Pathirana CSK seamer hit the RCB opener on the helmet with a short ball.

Visibly shaken after the blow, Kohli was subjected to a concussion test. Undeterred by this, the star batter went on to pull Pathirana’s next ball for a six over fine leg. He gave a death stare and also directed a word or two at Pathirana after nailing the pull shot.

Kohli followed that six with another boundary over mid-wicket to assert his supremacy in the contest.

The RCB talisman was dismissed for 31 off 30 balls during the 13th over by Noor Ahmad. His sluggish knock included four boundaries and one six.

At the time of Kohli’s dismissal, RCB were 117/3 with seven wickets and 46 balls left in the innings.
