Rishabh Pant, captain of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), led his team to a dominating win in the IPL 2025 over the high-flying Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). LSG defeated SRH in their own den in Hyderabad by 5 wickets.  

SRH had been asked to bat first by Pant, who won the toss, and contrary to everyone thinking that Travis Head and co. will breach the 300-run mark, the side failed to cross 200 runs. SRH made 190/9, with Travis Head top-scoring with 47 runs.

Shardul Thakur took 4/34 for LSG and completed 100 wickets in IPL as well.

In return, Nicholas Pooran hammered 70 in 26 balls and Mitchell Marsh made 52 as LSG won the game by 5 wickets in 16.1 overs.  However, the way Rishabh Pant batted for LSG despite the team needing very few runs at that time frustrated everyone.

Following his six-ball duck against the DC, Pant once again failed to meet his fans' expectations. With his team in a strong position to win the match, Pant scores a run-a-ball 15 before being caught at short third.

An unusual occurrence occurred during a YouTube live session as a Sports Tak anchor, who was dissatisfied with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain Rishabh Pant's batting, showed his rage in peculiar manner.

Pankaj, enraged by Pant's latest flop show, lost his calm, smashing the TV screen and nearly throwing a glass table in front of him. During the discussion, veteran sports writer Vikrant Gupta smiled wryly when Pankaj mocked Pant.IPL 2025pant

"IPL is going on. He (Rishabh Pant) had his chance but I'm telling you, he has become predictable. You cannot trust him. What sort of a captain is he? We don't need a captain like him," Pankaj said on Sports Tak before throwing an object at the TV screen.
