MS Dhoni still has his power with the willow and showcased it at the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) practice session at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. CSK will start their IPL 2025 tournament on March 23 against MI at home in Chennai.
It has been nearly half a decade since the 43-year-old retired from international cricket, about eight years since he relinquished the Indian captaincy in all formats, and nearly 11 years since he retired from Test cricket, but Dhoni continues to have an impact on the field for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and off the field for the IPL.
Dhoni was retained by the CSK franchise for INR 4 crores as an uncapped player ahead of the IPL 2025 season.
The 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) is almost approaching, which means that younger fans will finally get to see MS Dhoni in action.
In a video shared by IPL on social media, MS Dhoni can be seen hitting huge sixes and practicing to be the finisher for the CSK team in this IPL. In the previous IPL, Dhoni had come in the death overs and basically blasted the bowlers to all parts of the ground.
He had scored 161 runs at an incredible strike rate of 220.54 and at an average of 53.66 in 11 innings and was sharp as usual behind the stumps.
