The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) v Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) rivalry is considered to be the El Classico of the Indian Premier League. Ahead of the IPL 2025 season, former CSK cricketer S Badrinath recreated a viral meme to take a brutal dig at the rival RCB team.
Their first encounter in IPL 2025 will take place in Chennai on March 28, before CSK makes the trip to Bengaluru for the return fixture on May 3.
The competition between these two southern powerhouses has always been strong, and their matches are among the most anticipated games of the championship. The stakes were especially high in their most recent meeting in IPL 2024 when RCB scored a stunning victory to ensure their playoff spot, while CSK suffered a tragic departure.
The RCB camp's emotional celebrations following the triumph demonstrated how much the victory meant to them.
With just a few days until the new season, former CSK cricketer Subramaniam Badrinath has poured gasoline onto the flames. The CSK veteran took a dig at RCB by posting a comical video on Instagram in which he interacts with representatives from every IPL team except RCB.
In the video, Badrinath, who represents CSK, shakes hands or embraces each of the other franchise representatives. However, as soon as he approaches the RCB representative in the video, Badrinath as CSK disregards and ignores him and walks away.
