MS Dhoni showed that even at the age of 43, his reflexes and power have not diminished much as he smashed a perfect yorker from fellow CSK teammate Matheesha Pathirana with a helicopter shot in a practice match ahead of IPL 2025.

In a video that has surfaced on social media, Dhoni can be seen unleashing his iconic helicopter shot against Sri Lankan pacer Matheesha Pathirana, unquestionably one of the best white-ball bowlers in the world.

MS Dhoni was retained by CSK ahead of IPL 2025 auction and since retiring from international cricket in 2020, Dhoni has exclusively played only IPL for the yellow franchise. Dhoni's abilities, whether in terms of fitness or ability to smash foreign bowlers around the park, haven't changed much in recent years.

In a video from CSK's intra-squad practice match, Pathirana attempted to bowl a yorker to Dhoni, but the CSK stalwart understood how to deal with the delivery. R Ashwin at non-striker’s end and even Pathirana could only smile and marvel at Dhoni’s skills.
