The 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is all set to get underway on March 22 and all the teams have begun their preparations.
However, unusual visual emerged from the Rajasthan Royals (RR) camp on Wednesday (March 12), involving their head coach Rahul Dravid.
Dravid arrived at the camp on crutches in Jaipur, much to the surprise of the cricket fans. The IPL franchise shared a picture on social media, in which Dravid is seen sporting a cast on his left leg.
"Head Coach Rahul Dravid, who picked up an injury while playing Cricket in Bangalore, is recovering well and will join us today in Jaipur," RR captioned the post.
In a separate post, the Royals shared a video of the Rahul Dravid arriving for training, leaving the netizens in awe of the legendary cricketer’s commitment.
Dravid spent five seasons with the Rajasthan Royals from 2011 to 2015. He began his coaching career with the franchise back in 2014 when he transitioned from serving as the captain to being the mentor.
The 52-year-old rejoined the Royals camp as a head coach after his coaching tenure with Team India came to an end following the T20 World Cup triumph last year.
Under Dravid’s guidance, Rajasthan Royals will open their IPL 2025 campaign on March 23 against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
