
The Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) schedule has been officially revealed by the BCCI on February 16, 2025. The tournament will begin on March 22 with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) clashing in the opening game at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
A total of 74 matches will be played in IPL 2025 over 65 days. The league stage will be over on May 18. While the playoffs will be played from May 20-25.
The 2025 season final will be played on May 25 at the Eden Gardens. The same venue will host Qualifier 2 on May 23. The Eliminator and Qualifier 1 will be played on May 20 and 21 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
The IPL 2025 will be broadcast live on Star Sports and streamed online on JioHotStar.
Apart from the 10 regular centres—Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Mullanpur, Delhi, and Jaipur, besides Kolkata and Hyderabad—this season's matches will be played in Guwahati and Dharamsala too. RR will play two games in Guwahati, while Dharamshala will host 3 of the Punjab Kings’ games.
Apart from this, Visakhapatnam will host two of Delhi Capitals matches in IPL 2025. DC will open their tournament on March 24, Monday, against the Rishabh Pant-led LSG in Vizag.
Finalists of the IPL 2024, Sunrisers Hyderabad will then play Rajasthan Royals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal on March 23, a Sunday, in an afternoon game. The second game of the day will be CSK’s home match in Chennai against arch-rivals Mumbai Indians.
The return fixture between Mumbai Indians and CSK will take place on April 20 at the Wankhede Stadium.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Mumbai Indians will play against each other once this season. The match will take place on April 7, 2025.
IPL 2022 winners GT will clash with Punjab Kings at home in Ahmedabad in their IPL 2025 opener on March 25, while RR will play KKR in their first match of the season in Guwahati.
