Former India captain and coach Rahul Dravid has joined the Rajasthan Royals (RR) franchise as the head coach ahead of the IPL 2025 season. Dravid’s tenure as India's coach ended with a T20 World Cup win in Barbados earlier this year.
Dravid’s association with Rajasthan Royals is old as he played for the franchise from 2011-2013 and then coached them in IPL 2014 as well.
Though he is known for his copybook approach and old-school batting, Dravid has always had huge shots in his repertoire and has proved his ability to knock them when the situation calls for it, particularly in ODIs, T20s, and the IPL.
Dravid, who is now enjoying life after retirement and has returned to the Rajasthan Royals, is frequently seen batting for fun in mock matches at the Royals camp.
Rajasthan Royals shared a video on their official X handle with the caption "Rahul Dravid: Six off the first ball!"
