IPL 2025 Auction: SRH splash big money to sign Ishan Kishan; Jitesh Sharma, Philip Salt bagged handsome deals with RCB

The IPL 2025 auction is currently taking place in Jeddah with 577 cricketers vying for 204 vacant slots in the 10 franchise teams.

The likes of Shreyas Iyer (INR 26.75 Crore to PBKS), Rishabh Pant (INR 27 Crore to LSG), Venkatesh Iyer (INR 23.75 Crore to KKR), Yuzvendra Chahal (INR 18 Crore to PBKS) and Arshdeep Singh (INR 18 Crore to PBKS) hogged the headlines in the first few sets with their whopping price tags.

Capped wicketkeeper-batters were up for grabs in set No. 5, where the likes of Ishan Kishan, Jitesh Sharma and Philip Salt stole the limelight.

Kishan, who entered into the auction ring with a base price of INR 2 Crore, was roped in by Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 11.25 Crore. The southpaw was an integral part of the Mumbai Indians side for the last few seasons.

Jitesh Sharma was bought by Royal Challengers Bengaluru for 11 Crore. His based price was 1 Crore.

Philip Salt was the most expensive player in this set, securing a deal with RCB for INR 11.50 Crore. He had the base price of INR 2 Crore.
