Cameron Green, Australia's great allrounder, had a memorable debut season with Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The chance to bat beside the legendary Virat Kohli and share a dressing room with him was a pleasure for Green.
Green was bought by the Mumbai Indians for a hefty Rs 17.5 crore during the IPL 2023 auction.
However, as the player retention period for the forthcoming IPL 2024 season expired in November 2023, Green was traded to RCB after one season with Mumbai Indians.
Green played 16 matches for the Mumbai Indians in 2023. He went on to play 13 games for RCB, scoring 255 runs at an astounding average of 31.88.
"It's always pretty special when you look back at these times playing with Virat. He gave 110% every single time he plays, which is the beauty of him. It's never towards a batter or anything, it's just pumping himself up, pumping the team up," Green said in a video by CGTN Sports Scene.
Green will feature in the T20 World Cup 2024 with Australia. Earlier he was part of the Australia squad which won the 2023 ICC World Cup last year.
