IPL 2024: “Clearly robbed,” Fans react to TV umpire's controversial decision to give Faf du Plessis run-out during RCB-CSK clash

The RCB captain was given run-out at the non-striker's end.

Faf Du Plessis' dismissal sparked a controversy | XFaf du Plessis’ dismissal became the talk of the town in the IPL 2024 match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday (May 18).

On the final delivery of the 13th over bowled by CSK's Mitchell Santner, the RCB captain was given run-out at the non-striker's end.

Santner got a fingertip to intercept Rajat Patidar's shot when Du Plessis was backing up. After the decision was sent upstairs, TV umpire Michael Gough took his time and came to a conclusion that the bat was in the air.

Faf du Plessis was not bit pleased with the decision as he kept saying something while walking back to the dug-out.
