Arjun Tendulkar got his first match of the IPL 2024 for Mumbai Indians (MI) as they faced off against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on May 17. This was the final IPL 2024 league game for both teams and was played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Hardik Pandya won the toss and chose to bowl first. Nuwan Thushara got rid of Devdutt Padikkal for a duck to give the best start. Then KL Rahul (55) and Marcus Stoinis (28) added 48 runs for the second wicket.
During this partnership, Hardik Pandy threw the ball to Arjun Tendulkar and he bowled his heart and even troubled the Australian batter Marcus Stoinis.
In a video that went viral on social media, the left-arm pacer Arjun was seen giving LSG batter Marcus Stoinis a scare in an attempt to hit the ball onto the stumps on his follow-through. Stoinis in response also came up with a cheeky smile.
Arjun conceded 22 runs in 2.2 overs before walking off the field probably due to cramps. This happened after Tendulkar was hit was two sixes in two balls by Nicholas Pooran.
The 24-year-old was having a good game having given just ten runs from his first two overs. But then he faced up to well-set Nicholas Pooran in his second spell who welcomed him with back-to-back sixes.
Much to the surprise of the fans in the stands and everyone watching, Tendulkar was seen rushing to the dugout, as muscle cramps interrupted his spell. As a result, Tendulkar (0/22 in 2.2 overs) couldn’t return to the ground in time and Naman Dhir was brought in to bowl the remaining four balls of the 15th over.

The fans reacted to Arjun Tendulkar returning to the dugout after being hammered by Pooran and not coming back to complete his quota.
