Virat Kohli was in a jovial mood after Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) at home on May 12 in the ongoing IPL 2024. This win was RCB’s fifth on a trot and helped them move to the 5th spot on the points table and stay alive in the playoffs race.
RCB had batted first in Bengaluru and posted 187/9 in 20 overs. Rajat Patidar top-scored with 52, while Cameron Green (32), Will Jacks (41), and Virat Kohli (27) contributed as well.
In response, stand-in DC captain Akshar Patel (57) was the only one to be able to withstand RCB bowling. Yash Dayal picked three wickets, while Lockie Ferguson took two wickets as RCB won by 47 runs.
After the match, RCB shared the dressing room scenes after the win. Siraj is seen talking about the win against Delhi which improved RCB's chances of making the playoffs. Siraj was more elated at the “brand of cricket” RCB have been playing over the last few weeks than about the team's improved qualification hopes.
However, Siraj wasn’t able to put his thoughts into words properly and was trolled by Karn Sharma and then Virat Kohli.

Siraj: “What a comeback! We only wanted to take it one game at a time. Qualification or the playoffs is not in our control. What is in our control is - fast bowlers have the balls, batters have the bat. All we have to do is attack. If we qualify, it's very good. But we just want to continue playing this brand of cricket.”
Kohli: “(laughs) He is saying batter has a bat and bowler has a ball”
Siraj: “The mindset is to take wickets, right?”
Kohli: “(laughs) Alag cricket chal rahi hai. Just say - 'All I can see are stumps.”
Siraj: “Siuuu”
Kohli: “(laughs) He is saying see you.”
