Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) Abhishek Sharma revealed how his mistake led to his parents missing watching him play in the ongoing IPL 2024. His parents were supposed to come to Hyderabad and watch him play for SRH against Lucknow Super Giants.

Abhishek smashed an unbeaten 75 in just 28 balls in SRH's whirlwind win by 10 wickets over LSG in a dominating performance. Tasked to chase the 166-run target, along with Sharma’s 75*, Travis Head made 89* in 30 balls as SRH chased down the total in just 9.4 overs and won emphatically.

After the win, Abhishek was spotted talking to someone on his phone, and when the SRH opener was interviewed on the live broadcast after the match, the anchor asked him who he was talking to.

Abhishek then revealed the huge mistake he made that led to his parents missing watching him play in Hyderabad that night.

"I was talking to my mom and dad. They were scheduled to come for this match but unfortunately, I booked them a flight for home (from another location). I had to book (air tickets) for Hyderabad but I booked for Amritsar,” Abhishek revealed.
