Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Sanju Samson and Delhi Capitals (DC) co-owner Parth Jindal were seen mingling after the DC v RR match in the IPL 2024 in Delhi on May 7. This was after Jindal’s animated reaction to Samson’s dismissal went viral.
The incident occurred in the 16th over of RR's chase, when skipper Sanju Samson swatted Mukesh Kumar down the ground, and Shai Hope made a stunning catch to dismiss him. However, the replay indicated that Hope was close to the cushions but did not touch them. Samson originally began to walk away, but returned after watching the replays on the large screen.
DC chairperson Jindal enthusiastically rejoiced, chanting 'out hai' as Samson argued with the umpires about his wicket. Television cameras panned to capture strained emotions as Parth, unable to resist his joy, sprang from his seat and yelled, "Samson is out."
But after the match, Samson and Jindal, along with RR owner Manoj Badale, shared cordial moment at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Parth Jindal extended his congratulations to Sanju Samson for his selection in the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
"Our Chairman and Co-owner, Parth Jindal, caught up with Rajasthan Royals' captain Sanju Samson & owner Manoj Badale, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium last night, after what was an exceptional contest of cricket. Parth also extended his congratulations to the RR skipper on being selected for the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup," DC shared the video on its social media handle.

Parth Jindal, later took to X to explain his reaction as he wrote, “Was lovely interacting with Manoj and Sanju - was incredible to witness his power hitting at the Kotla - he got us all extremely worried and hence the animated reaction when he was out! Had the pleasure of congratulating him as well. Great win by our boys”.
