Former India and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) cricketer Parthiv Patel for mocked for his height after he called RCB batter Glenn Maxwell, the most overrated player in the history of the IPL. This came after Maxwell’s continuous failure in the ongoing IPL 2024.
Chasing 147 runs to win, RCB had a terrific start thanks to captain Faf du Plessis (64) and Virat Kohli (42) adding 92 runs for the first wicket in powerplay. But then, RCB lost quick wickets to be reduced to 111/6 in 10.4 overs.
Stars like Will Jacks (1), Rajat Patidar (2), Glenn Maxwell (1), and Cameron Green (1) fell like a pack of cards. However, RCB managed to win the match thanks to some rearguard action by Dinesh Karthik and Swapnil Singh.
The failure of Glenn Maxwell, especially in IPL 2024, led to Parthiv Patel calling him the most overrated player in the history of the IPL. Maxwell has scored 36 runs in 8 matches this season with a best of 28. He had even taken a mental health break during the season and missed two matches.

However, this comment of his didn’t sit well with die-hard RCB fans and Parthiv Patel was height-shamed and trolled on social media.
