Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batter Virat Kohli was furious after his dismissal in the recent IPL 2024 match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) which was played on Sunday in Kolkata.

Kohli was dismissed controversially for 18 runs as RCB was asked to chase a target of 223 runs by KKR. Kohli was certain that the high full-toss delivery by Harshit Rana that removed him was a no-ball, as evidenced by his impassioned conversation with the on-field umpire after he was given out.

However, in a new clip that surfaced on social media, Kohli’s frustration continued as he walked off the field towards the pavilion. Kohli was later seen hitting his bat on the ground on his way into the pavilion before furiously smashing the dustbin to the ground with his gloves.

Here is the video:

Kohli was caught and bowled by Rana in the third over of RCB's chase, but the batter claimed that the full-toss delivery was waist-high and hence should have been considered no ball. It was waist-high when Kohli made contact with the ball, but he was way outside the crease.

Using the latest Hawk-Eye ball-tracking technology, TV umpire Michael Gough reviewed the delivery and determined that if Kohli had faced it inside the crease, the ball would have passed him at 0.92 meters off the ground. With Kohli's waist height of 1.04 meters, the ball would have passed below his waist if he had stood inside the crease, resulting in a legal delivery.

Kohli had a furious discussion with the on-field umpires before leaving the field in anger.
