Former India opener Gautam Gambhir’s equation with star batter Virat Kohli remains a mystery for the cricket fans.

During the IPL 2013 season, the then KKR skipper Gambhir was involved in a heated face-off with RCB’s Kohli before they were separated by other players.

A similar incident was also witnessed in last year’s IPL as the then LSG mentor Gambhir had an ugly spat with Kohli. That altercation had created quite a stir in the cricket fraternity and it continues to draw attention even today.

However, the cricket fans saw an unexpected on-field reunion between Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli in the ongoing IPL season last month. They were seen shaking hands, sharing smiles and hugs during the IPL 2024 match between KKR and RCB at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

The Knight Riders are now set to host RCB on Sunday (April 21). On the eve of the clash, the KKR mentor and the RCB legend once again shared wholesome moments with each other at the Eden Gardens.

KKR shared multiple pictures and videos of their heartwarming interaction. They had an extended conversation and also exchanged a hug in the hallowed stadium, much to the delight of the fans.

Virat Kohli is currently the leading run scorer in the IPL 2024, with 361 runs to his name from seven innings, including one hundred and two half-centuries.

However, RCB are enduring a dismal campaign, languishing at the bottom of the table with six defeats and a solitary win under their belt.
