Young Australian opener Jake Fraser-McGurk has left a lasting impression on the cricket fraternity with his fearless batting approach in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season.
Fraser-McGurk made his IPL debut for Delhi Capitals (DC) against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Ekana Cricket Stadium last Friday (April 12). In his maiden innings, the 22-year-old played a match-winning knock of 55 in just 35 balls, including two boundaries and five sixes.
Jake Fraser-McGurk gave another glimpse of his exceptional talent in DC’s match against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Wednesday (April 17).
Chasing a paltry target of 90, the right-hander produced a blistering cameo of 10-ball 20. His knock included two fours and as many maximums.
Fraser-McGurk opened up his account with a lofted six straight down the ground off Sandeep Warrier. DC’s Director of Cricket Sourav Ganguly was so impressed with the shot that he was seen shaking his head in the dugout with a smile on his face.
