Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain Faf du Plessis candidly admitted to a prevailing sentiment around the Bengaluru-based franchise. He said that if you ask fans, they want RCB to win the IPL title.
This comes after RCB languished at the bottom of the IPL 2024 points table with one win from 6 games and 2 points. They need to win a majority of the rest of their games to have a chance to qualify for the playoffs.
They will clash with Sunrisers Hyderabad at home in Bengaluru on Monday, April 15, 2024, and ahead of the match, RCB captain Faf du Plessis talked about the franchise and how fan support has kept them afloat.
"I genuinely have a feeling that outside of Mumbai and CSK, if you ask people, they would want RCB to win the IPL. When I tell my little daughter Zoey that I am going to India, she is like 'RCB, RCB...'", remarked du Plessis, highlighting the widespread support for the team.
While Virat Kohli has starred with the bat for RCB, scoring 316 runs with one century to his name, the rest of RCB's batting is yet to support him. Not only the batting, but the RCB bowling unit has also failed to support their batting.
