Former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni launched a brutal attack on Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Hardik Pandya in Match 29 of the IPL 2024 season at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday (April 14).
Dhoni came out to bat at No. 6 in the final over of CSK’s innings and went on to smash three consecutive sixes off Pandya.
The first six came off a slower delivery as Dhoni smoked it over long-off, while the second ball was in the slot and Thala deposited it over wide long-on for another maximum.
Hardik was under pressure by then and his follow-up delivery was a full-toss, which was gleefully accepted by Dhoni, who produced a flicked over deep square leg to complete the hat-trick of sixes.
In the final delivery of the innings, Dhoni managed to score a couple of runs. As a result, he finished with 20* off 4 balls, propelling CSK to a massive 206/4 in 20 overs.
For his blistering cameo, MS Dhoni received rich praise from the cricket fraternity on social media platform X.
