Delhi Capital (DC) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) clashed in the 26th match of the IPL 2024 on April 12. The match was played at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow.
KL Rahul, captain of LSG won the toss and chose to bat first. However, Khaleel Ahmed and Kuldeep Yadav reduced LSG to 94/7 in 13 overs, with KL Rahul scoring 39 in 22 balls. But Ayush Badoni (55*) and Arshad Khan (20*) added 73* for 8 wickets to take LSG to a par score of 167/7 in 20 overs.
Kuldeep Yadav shined with 3/20, while Khaleel Ahmed took 2/41 for Delhi Capitals.

In response, DC lost David Warner fell for 8 runs, while Prithvi Shaw showed good promise in his 22-ball 32 runs. But it was the 77-run partnership between Rishabh Pant and debutant Jake Fraser-McGurk that took DC into a position of advantage.
Pant fell for 41 in 24 balls, while Fraser-McGurk made 55 in 35 balls with 5 sixes and 2 fours to his name. In the end, Tristan Stubbs (15*) and Shai Hope (11*) finished the job as DC won by 6 wickets ending on 170/4 in 18.1 overs.
Kuldeep Yadav was named the Player of the Match for his 3/20.
