Hero worship in cricket is nothing new, as supporters have their favorites and will take great measures to make their idols proud. Australia’s Pat Cummins has become a fan favorite since taking over as Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain in IPL 2024.
Cummins replaced Aiden Markram as captain and under his leadership, SRH moved to the 5th spot in the IPL 2024 points table after their recent win over Punjab Kings in Mullanpur on April 9.
SRH shelled out a whopping amount of Rs 20.50 crore to acquire the services of Cummins at the IPL 2024 auction and named him captain.

SRH has registered 3 wins in 6 matches under Cummins’ leadership. As for his performance with the ball, Cummins has been in fine form scalping six wickets.
The admiration for Pat Cummins was quite evident in the video in which a fan can be seen worshipping the Australia international lighting incense sticks.

SRH will next face RCB on April 15 in Bengaluru.
