IPL 2024: Watch- Akshar Patel’s perfect revenge, dismisses Ishan Kishan with a brilliant catch after getting hit for a 6

Ishan Kishan made 42 runs and added 80 for the 1st wicket with Rohit Sharma.

Kishan was left stunned after Akshar Patel took a blinder of a catch | IPL XThe Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Capitals (DC) faced off in the 20th match of the IPL 2024. This match will be contested on April 7, 2024, at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium. The match is critical for both teams since they are eager for a victory.

The Delhi Capitals have won only one of their four matches, while MI sit at the bottom of the IPL 2024 points table after three losses in three games.

The Delhi Capitals (DC) captain, Rishabh Pant, won the toss and elected to bowl first. DC made two changes to the playing XI: Jhye Richardson replaced the injured Mitchell Marsh, and Lalit Yadav replaced Rasikh Salam Dar.

Mumbai Indians (MI), on the other side, made some alterations to their team as well. Suryakumar Yadav returned to the team in lieu of Naman Dhir. Romario Shepherd took over for Kwena Maphaka, while Mohammad Nabi replaced Dewald Brevis.

Akshar Patel picked up both the openers in Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan after they had wreaked havoc on DC bowlers. The duo added 80 runs in 7 overs, with Rohit Sharma scoring 49 with 3 sixes and 6 fours in his knock. He was clean-bowled by Akshar Patel with a beautiful delivery.

But his partner, Ishan Kishan, continued the assault  as he slammed 42 in 23 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes. One of those sixes came on the first ball of the 11th over, bowled by Akshar Patel. However, on the next ball, Patel took his revenge.

Akshar bowled a flatter delivery on the off-stump, and Kishan tried to swat it towards the bowler’s left-hand side. However, Akshar, being a brilliant fielder, put his left hand out and grabbed the ball to make a stunning catch, leaving even Kishan speechless.
