Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter Rinku Singh received a memorable gift from Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) Virat Kohli, as the icon cricketer gave the youngster a bat. This happened after KKR defeated RCB in IPL 2024 in Bengaluru on March 29.

Expressing gratitude for the thoughtful gift, Rinku Singh took to Instagram to thank Virat Kohli for both the bat and the advice.

Rinku Singh has emerged as a finisher option for his franchise KKR and also for Indian team. The 2023 IPL season marked a breakthrough for Rinku Singh, with notable contributions of 474 runs in 14 matches at an impressive average of 59.25 and a striking strike rate of nearly 150.

This led to him making his India debut in ODIs and T20Is. Rinku has accumulated 356 runs in 15 matches at a remarkable average of 89.00 and an impressive strike rate exceeding 176, with two fifties to his credit.

After the match, players from both teams met each other and exchanged handshakes to congratulate each other. In a video shared by RCB on its X handle (formerly Twitter), head coach Andy Flower was giving a dressing room speech to the players after the loss.

In the same video, Virat Kohli is captured gifting his bat to Rinku Singh as a gesture of sportsmanship and camaraderie and the two hugged each other.
